Local Preachers Union
The Local Preachers Union is a Lay Ministry of Preachers called into the service of preaching the Gospel to God’s people for the growth of Church under the doctrinal principles of Methodist Church in Africa. The motto of the District being, ”Go ye therefore and teach all nations” taken from Matthews 28: 19, further explains the role and responsibility of Preachers in God’s Kingdom whereby they are expected to lead people into discipleship, converting the non-converted to know Christ and to follow him. Preachers who are called to this service do undergo a period of a trial with in-service training through a prescribed syllabus approved by the District until they are declared full Preachers. The Union is being led by an established District executive which comprises of:

• Organiser
• Three (3) Committee members.

• To receive reports from Circuits regarding the work of the Union
• To come up with strategies of developing the Union
• Empowering Preachers in relation to the trends of today
• To approve syllabus and training of Preachers
