Evangelists and Bible women Association

This association is a Lay Ministry of Evangelists and Bible women called into the service of evangelism under the doctrinal principles of Methodist Church in Africa. The called are expected to live a prayerful and Christian life. Evangelists are accredited full Preachers and Bible women are in fellowship through prayer meetings with WPU for spiritual growth and enhancement.

The role of Evangelists and Bible women:

• They are mediators between the congregation and a Minister through
interventional role for holistic well-being of the Church.
• They are intercessors within the Church to members upon altar calls during
divine Church services.
• They do accompany Ministers when administering holy communion to the aged
and sick.
• They reach out to members and bring back those who derailed spiritually due
to various reasons back to the Church.
• They identify members who need spiritual intervention and bring them to the
attention of the Minister.
• They do attend to people in need, such as the aged, sick and imprisoned, with
the aim of extending a helping hand, giving them hope through prayer.
• The Evangelists conduct Church services as Preachers, funerals, unveiling of
tombstones etc.
