Young Women Prayer Union

Young Women’s Prayer Union (YWPU) also well known as “Barweetsana ba thapelo” are the  key part of the MCA church’s structures. The Union has its footprint  within African Christian communities. They are predominantly in South Africa, Lesotho and Botswana.  YWPU is a women’s fellowship group that aims to provide spiritual, social, and community support to young women in church and the society by focusing on empowering their faith and personal development.

Objectives of YWPU:

  1. Spiritual Growth: To deepen the members’ faith and spiritual life through prayer, Bible study, and fellowship.
  2. Community Support: To create a support system for young women, fostering unity, encouragement, and growth.
  3. Social Responsibility: To engage in community development projects and help those in need, contributing to both church and society.
  4. Personal Development: To empower young women with skills for leadership, emotional growth, and life skills.
  5. Moral and Ethical Guidance: To provide guidance on living a righteous life, with a focus on morality, discipline, and integrity.
  6. Strengthening Family Structures: To support women in their roles as mothers, wives, and daughters, fostering strong family units.

In both church and society, the Union serves as a platform for young women to connect, serve, and grow, both spiritually and socially, while also contributing positively to their communities.
